Dale una cara distinta a Ubuntu

Entre una cosa y otra, me dí cuenta que uno de los aspectos que más me gusta de ubuntu es la facilidad con que se puede configurar la aplicación de temas de escritorio...

Para los que venimos de XP con su insufrible azul, su plateado aburrido y su francamente insufrible verde oliva, ver la facilidad con que se instalan temas en ubuntu es casi una bendición.

Después del estrepitoso fracaso que ha representado Vista, Microsoft parece estar mirando cada vez mas hacia los desarrollos de Linux y esta parece ser una de las funcionalidades que llegará a tener Windows 7... amanecerá y veremos...

Pero este post no es para hablar de Windows, así que vamos a lo que vinimos...

Primero, abre el menú Sistema > Preferencias > Apariencia. Allí tienes diversas opciones entre los temas que puedes usar. Si por cosas del destino ocurre que no te gustan los temas que ya hay, siempre podrás acudir a gnome look, ubuntu art o gnome art a bajarte un tema que sea de tu agrado, lo arrastras a la ventana de temas y ya esta instalado...

Facil ¿no?

Mi juguete nuevo

Por casualidades de la vida encontré un sitio que es una maravilla, hablo de COLOURlovers.Es un sitio, pues como su nombre lo indica para los amantes del color, puedes crear paletas, establecer colores y crear texturas (patterns) para usarlas como quieras, ya que te genera los archivos para llevarlas a Photoshop, Illustrator o a la Web...

Es lo mejor que pude hallar en toda la semana, juega tu tambien en COLOURlovers

Otra visión del asunto...

Resulta que se ha estado desarrollando de forma independiente un nuevo sistema operativo con unas interesantes características... ¿Que te parece un sistema que tenga completa compatibilidad con todos tus programas, que tenga las prestaciones de los demás sistemas y que a la vez sea GRATIS?

¿No es ideal?

Bueno, pues resulta que eso es lo que pretende ser ReactOS, el cual es promovido como un sistema operativo alternativo a Windows, pero sin sus fallas, que ya son unas cuantas...

Si bien, el sistema esta disponible para su uso, el mismo aún se encuentra en una etapa de desarrollo intermedia, a juzgar por lo que pude leer en el sitio web del proyecto, de hecho en la documentación no recomiendan el sistema para su uso diario, pero parece poder llegar a convertirse en una interesante alternativa en el corto a mediano plazo.
